Smokey's home

Blackout poetry  Around the hissing walls  Smoke lifted  Then dropped to the floor

minds

My mind is stuck in a loop Replaying old memories of you Your mind is behind a door Always closed and so unsure Our minds were one in the same May this half forget thy name

devoured

I sank into the Earth Internally bound Swallowed feet first I am underground

frustrated

If your eyes met mine I could tell you everything Without speaking a word You would understand my lust And fulfill my need for you

time well wasted

Mind the months I spent a fool  As I thought of nothing, save you All those nights I'd lie awake  Praying it's my heart you take  Wasting countless cardinal hours  Inside memories gone too sour  Billions of precious seconds  Turned to recurrent lessons

I've fallen in love with the world

Tanka I'm young and in love  With everything but someone The world is my own  Blissfully alone and free  My love is enough for me

show me love

Shake my subdued heart Commence the rapid drumming Grant her a motive

whiny winter

Farewell to my soul  The lowest of bids  Thank you for the snow  It busies the kids  Behind the shivers and sniffs  Lies the desolate cold  Our bones become stiff To our joints feel old Winter is the worst time  Save when the night glows  Non-fiction and true crime  Reading as the ice grows Long to touch the color green Breathing with the winds blows Without a mountain or a stream This season sure gets old

twice

Grieve my innocence  Cast me down a wishing well Puff secondhand smoke Reach in, seize my wrist A descending somersault  Twice fractured smiles
