if you die, I die too
As she lies next to me
I feel her pulse vibrate through the air
The light reflects off of her pale skin
Beads of sweat drip from her chin to the tile
The breeze gently pulls out strands of her hair
Lasers span from her eyes
To wherever they may gaze
I do my best
To not be zapped in their path
She reaches for my palm
I oblige
As she places her thumb in the middle
She forms tiny circles
From my wrist to the roots of my fingers
Gifting me every single moment
Of her past
I can see one scene from her future
Only minutes from now
This is when I realize
She will die
Here
Right next to me
And I shall die too
Because I will not live in a world
Without her in it
